In connection with certain vagueness concerning an authorization to express opinions on petitions presented by enterprises, which apply for the so-called technological credit, investment financing by the E.U. structural funds, especially from the Sector Operational Program and the Integrated Operational Program of Regional Development, we are hereby informing:
The Act on 'Certain Forms of Innovations Supporting' of 29th July 2005, the Journal of Law -2005, No 179, par. 1484 and the Journal of Law -2006, No 107, par. 723, Chapter a, Art 5, point 3, sub-point 2, states:
Opinions prepared by Scientific institutions, Research and Development Centres (mentioned in Art 12) or Scientific and Technological Associations of all-Poland range, which field of interest is relevant to the technological investment, for which the technological credit is to be granted, confirming that the technology on which the planned investment will be based is the new technology - are valid opinions.
Technical Association (STOP) is fully competent and entitled to express opinions on applications concerning the widely understood foundry problems (technology, production, machines and equipment, innovations, investments).
Thus, we would like to encourage the Managements of foundries and co-operating with them enterprises to take advantage of STOP services.

DEAR PRESIDENTS, DIRECTORS OF THE POLISH FOUNDRY ENTERPRISES
We are hereby informing that in the project of the Regulation, changing the heretofore in force Regulation, concerning classification of professional training the Minister of National Education named the following foundry vocations:
Sending the above information, we are of the opinion that the Foundry Managements should put forward to the Educational Authorities (Local Governments) from their locality written requests to organize the foundry classes already in the school year of 2007/2008.
The Secretariat of the Central Board of our Association will forward the request on this subject directly to the Ministry of National Education.
